Use of the most popular oils in Ayurveda

Jojoba Oil

Moisturizes, softens and tones the skin, produces elasticity, prevents sagging and stretch marks, emulsifies the sebum of the skin.
Its moisturizing properties act directly against skin aging, nourishes the hair, giving it a healthy shine and regulates the production of sebum on the scalp.

Base Oil to be combined with essential oil in the use of massages.

Sunflower oil

Excellent for skin care due to its richness in vitamin E. It fights dull, dry and oily skin, while having a cellular stimulant and an action for tissue regeneration, which promotes skin rejuvenation.

Sweet Almond Oil

Reduces inflammation and calms skin irritations, hydrates and softens any type of skin and provides an improvement on stretch marks and problem areas. It can be applied to damp skin after bathing or showering and is especially recommended in cases of dryness, dehydration, eczema and herpes.

Revitalizes the brain, nervous system, weakness, old age and premature old age.

Sesame oil

In Ayurveda it is one of the essential oils for the balance of the doshas. Moisturizes and nourishes the skin fighting dryness, reduces sagging, prevents the appearance of stretch marks, calms the nervous system. Has a warming effect on cold hands and feet.
Recommended to balance the three doshas.

Base Oil to be combined with essential oil in the use of massages.

Coconut

Indicated to nourish the lungs and skin.
Its properties are refrigerant, emollient, tonic, reduces inflammation, soiasis, ecsema, burns and is aphodisiac.

For the Vata dosha, it requires oils that warm and lubricate, Sesame, Almond, Jojoba and German wheat are recommended.

For the Pitta dosha, it requires cold oils, such as coconut, sandalwood, almond, and sunflower.

Kapha dosha requires oils that warm and invigorate such as sunflower, sesame, mustard and corn.
